Chutney kyauta ne mai ban sha'awa tare da asali a cikin kwaminonin Indiya. Kwayoyi suna da bambanci kuma zasu iya haɗawa da wani abu daga abin da wasu zasu iya kiran sauti, salsa, ko jelly ko jam . Za su iya zama chunky ko santsi kuma suna yadawa a cikin sharuddan dandano da kayan yaji.
